Oops... Frank's update

I just talked to Sis. Moody again and she finally talked to Frank. He's doing great but some of the information was wrong. He's in a splint for a week until the swelling goes down. Then he'll be casted and he'll have it for 4-6 weeks. But he said it has really been good for the branch. They've been giving them rides and going on splits to help him out and his companions are being really good to him so he'll stay put and be just fine. Still, it is good news and I am relieved.

She said she told him to write a detailed e-mail tomorrow and to take a picture to let me know he's okay.

Frank's Broken Leg

I talked to the Mission President's wife this afternoon. She said Frank left her a message (she and the president were in meetings) telling her he'd been to the surgeon and had his foot cast and it would only need to be in a cast for a week! When she tried to return his call to get more details, he was teaching a discussion and couldn't take the call. That's my boy! It is truly an answer to prayers.

She also said she'd call back tonight when she had actually talked to Frank. She didn't want me to sit here worrying. I love her!

Frank's mission just called... Never a good sign.

I just got a call from Sister Moody, the mission president's wife. She said Frank had been playing soccer at a ward activity last week and turned his ankle. He thought it was just a sprain and had been taking ibuprofen and was using crutches he had borrowed but it was still bothering him today so they had him go to the doctor. The x-rays showed he had broken both his tibia and his fibula at the ankle. Fortunately the bones weren't displaced. He's seeing an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow and either Sister Moody or Frank will call us and let us know what treatment he needs. Hopefully he will only need a cast and it wont slow him down. Please keep him in your prayers. I know he must be feeling frustrated to be slowed down.
